Treibball is the exciting new canine sport of urban herding with exercise balls. A combination of herding, agility and soccer-like skills are combined to make this a fun game for any breed. Treibball is for all sizes, types and breeds of dogs who like to play and need a cool job. In this workshop, you will learn training techniques to help your dog become an enthusiastic partner for treibball and other dog sports. Sandi Pensinger, author of the "Treibball Ball Herding Handbook" shares her shaping techniques and innovative use of equipment for training an enthusiastic treibball dog. Sandi tailors her presentation and the working sessions to the attendees’ training experience and needs, so trainers with all levels of training experience will gain new knowledge and skills. Many of the behaviors needed for treibball, such as the ability to work reliably at a distance and to have impulse control, are vital in other dog sports such as agility, musical freestyle and obedience.
